If you're an early-stage founder who can't hire fast enough, you're in the right place.

Who This Is For

I write this for founders (technical and non-technical) who are:

  • Tight on cash and can't hire a full team yet
  • Overwhelmed by a roadmap they can't possibly execute alone
  • Curious about AI but don't know where to start operationally
  • Looking for practical “how I actually did this” content, not hype

What is MonkeyRun?

MonkeyRun is my live laboratory. I'm Matt, a 25-year tech veteran, and I use AI agents to do what used to require a full startup team. I document everything—the wins, the crashes, and the operational patterns—so you can steal my playbook and build your own AI team.

The name? It's about being human-in-the-loop. The monkey runs because someone still needs to set the direction, make the judgment calls, and decide what's worth building. AI fills the roles. The human keeps it all pointed in the right direction.

The Reading Path

Don't try to read everything at once. Follow this path — each step builds on the last:

1

The Overview

How the whole system is structured — agents, runtimes, coordination, and the portfolio.

2

How We Build

The interactive deep dive into agent orchestration — why context density beats delegation, and how the builder-who-triages model works.

3

How We Think

How the async PM engine runs competitive scans and market research on autopilot — no laptop required.

4

The Patterns

Battle-tested patterns extracted from all of the above. Searchable, filterable, ready to steal.

Meet the Team

I don't build alone. I have a team of 15+ specialized AI agents, each with their own personality, scope, and quirks (like my COO who crashes every 24 hours).
